抗日战争时期，神州镖局接到一批文物，要送往革命根据地，交给八路军当作军费。镖局老英雄苗峰，带着他的女儿苗香儿，以及一批热血男儿誓死护送文物，路上不但遇到了日本人的阻截，又遭遇一伙凶悍的土匪。一番斗智斗勇的厮杀之后，苗峰不幸身亡。宝物被日本人夺走，苗香儿求助于大法寺高僧，得到大师的入世弟子陆有为的帮助。这个时候，聂天鸣带领英勇的八路军小分队前来接应，遇上了苗香儿这路人马。白三等土匪也以大义为重，决定重新做人，加入了小分队，他们各施本领，终于夺回了文物。组成了一个以聂天鸣为中心的，凤凰山抗日武工小分队，继续与日本鬼子做战斗。。After a short split prologue showing riches as the root of evil in ancient and modern times, the film settles into 1914 France, where the Orient Express is about to be wrecked when a bridge washes out.
