曾经一手打造出《惊声尖笑》（Scary Movie）系列的杰森·弗里德贝格（Jason Friedberg）与艾伦·舒尔茨（Aaron Seltzer）把最近票房大卖的《饥饿游戏》作为恶搞对象，拍摄一部名为《挨饿游戏》（The Starving Games）的喜剧。。1918年，古老的中华大地正经历着最为苦难的时刻。而在浙江省杭州留下镇，一个渺小而又极不平凡的生命伴着狂风暴雨降生到了这个世上。小女孩秋霜甫一降生便成了算命先生嘴里的灾星，克父克夫克母，一生苦难，带累亲眷。因这恐怖的谶语，秋霜自幼遭到冷遇与白眼，父母和二哥之死更为她带来无限的冤屈和磨难。十七岁那年，秋霜（刘孜 饰）来到娃娃亲的娘家，她念念不忘娘的叮嘱，“永远不要相信算命的，要干成事全得靠自己”。
